Stuffed cabbage has been a staple of Jewish cooking since the fourteenth century, when it was introduced in Russia by Tartars. There many, many recipes for it from Eastern Europe and the Middle East. This Shalom Y'all version is in a sweet-and-sour sauce and is of Polish derivation.
